complete turnkey inside weld cutting system
Based on the concept of interchangeability the equipement
consists of: mounting unit, tow bar with interchangeable impeders,
mechanical or hydraulic inside weld scarfing tools. A notching
carrier can be inserted into the system as to reduce the bead
into small chips for easier removal.

The
3-stations-strip shaving unit
The 3-stations-strip shaving unit will scarf the edges and
will shave the aluminium coating from the top and bottom of
the strip. The unit is provided with a sequence for opening
and closing the side guide rollers, the top and bottom guide
rail and important (!) the cutters as the butt weld passes
by. Strip size changeover is thanks to this feature very fast.
The cutters are provided with chip breakers as to direct the
chips down into a container.

The
oscillating outside diameter scarfer ROTOSCHAB
This outside
scarfer ROTOSCHAB is designed for tube O. D. 1/2" to
4" or 2" to 6,3". The round cutting head has
3 cassettes holding 3 tungsten carbide blades. The scarfer
constantly oscillates over the lenght of one cutting blade,
obtaining a perfect surface finish and dividing the wear over
the length of the cutting edge, resulting in an edge life
between 2 and 3 hours. The cutter will swing by a push button
to the new selected blade within 1,5 seconds and will start
oscillating again. Three blades will give an one-shift-outside-scarfing
without manual tool change.
